- Lead hands-on engineering for LearnCard, an open-source lifelong learning passport platform, across React/Vite, TypeScript, Node, Redis, MongoDB, Neo4j, AWS Lambda, and Rust-based SSI/DID tooling.
- Promoted to VP of Engineering after growing into technical leadership while continuing to ship product, improve developer experience, and mentor a team of 4–6 engineers.
- Helped drive migration away from a Meteor monolith to a more modular frontend and backend architecture, cutting CI deployment time by roughly 75%.
- Delivered major performance improvements, including reducing a 3+ minute query to under 5 seconds and improving initial load performance from ~15 seconds to a few hundred milliseconds.
- Built custom internal platform services, including a translations microservice that reduced recurring spend from $500+/month to effectively negligible cost.
